Saturday was a busy day for me! It was the day of my official Launch Party but I also was asked to participate in a book signing for the D230 Foundation an hour and a half away for my high school alma mater. With my awesome sister in tow, we left the house at 8:00am and headed out on our adventures for the day.
The first event was at the Barnes & Noble in Orland Park, IL. As my sister and I drove to this event we passed by my old high school and countless other places full of memories in that town. It was fun to go down “memory lane”together (also known as Lagrange Rd).
At this event we were escorted to a table with my name on it where we sat and signed and chatted with event attendees for a few hours. It was fun…except for the three different times people asked if Elizabeth was my daughter. That was decidedly LESS fun!
Then we rushed back up north (after a quick wardrobe change…notice how my dress just happens to match the cover?) to the WHEN I’M GONE launch party at Cafe Book. I loved this venue. So eclectic and fun. The food was yummy and the servers were more than helpful and the company was beyond amazing. Between friends, family and fans—the celebration was perfect!

And that was it! A wonderful launch for this book I love so much. Thanks to everyone who was there in person and the many others who I know were there in spirit.
